The Spirit Warriors participated in the International Dragon Boat Festival (for breast cancer survivor teams only) on June 11-13, 2010.  With 15 of our team members and some good friends from around BC and in Ontario, we paddled to a final placing of 17th among 74 teams from around the world - South Africa, England, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, US and Canada.   Our team members stepped up to the challenge of competing with 1,628 other paddlers coming from different corners of the world.  It is a sisterhood coming together to raise awareness that we have courage…we have fight…we have fun and most of all, we have the support of each other.  We are very proud to have placed in the top 20.
